Subscribe: / @kiarahhondy2440 Follow me on Instagram: www.instagram/kiarah_hondy Music by: Leigh Hondy © *Ingredients for pastry* 125 g butter, softened 1/2 cup castor sugar 1 large egg 2 cups cake flour 1 tsp baking powder *Ingredients for filling* 2 1/2 cups milk 1 cinnamon quill 1 large egg 1/2 cup castor sugar 2 Tbsp flour 2 Tbsp corn flour (Maizena) 1 tsp vanilla paste large Tbsp butter 1 tsp ground cinnamon *Instructions for the pastry:* Cream butter and sugar together Add the egg, beating well to combine Add the cake flour, baking powder and salt Mix thoroughly to form a stiff dough Press the dough evenly into a tart tin Dock the pastry base Blind bake at 180°C for 30 min or until the pastry is golden and crispy *Instructions for the filling:* Place the milk and cinnamon quill into a pot Bring the milk to the boil then discard cinnamon stick In a separate bowl add egg, sift in flour, corn flour, sugar and add vanilla paste Pour the milk from the pot into the egg mixture, whisking continuously Return the milk mixture to the pot and cook on medium heat, stirring until thickened Stir through a spoonful of butter once its thickened Pour milk mixture into baked pastry base Sprinkle over desired amount of ground cinnamon Leave tart to cool before serving
