A BETTER WAY Acts 15:10–35 Act 15:1 NKJV - And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved." Gen 17:9 NKJV - And God said to Abraham: "As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. Gen 17:10 NKJV - "This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised; Gen 17:11 NKJV - "and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you. Act 15:7 NKJV - And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up [and] said to them: "Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. Act 15:8 NKJV - "So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, Act 15:9 NKJV - "and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Act 15:10 NKJV - "Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? Act 15:11 NKJV - "But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they." Act 15:12 NKJV - Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles. Act 15:13 NKJV - And after they had become silent, James (undisputed leader of the church) so much for Peter being the first Pope) answered, saying, "Men and brethren, listen to me: Act 15:14 NKJV - "Simon (Peter’s Hebrew name) has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. Act 15:15 NKJV - "And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: This is a quote from (Amos 9:11-12) Act 15:16 NKJV - 'After this I will return And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up; Act 15:17 NKJV - So that the rest of mankind may seek the LORD, Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, Says the LORD who does all these things.' Act 15:18 NKJV - "Known to God from eternity are all His works. Act 15:19 NKJV - "Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God, Act 15:20 NKJV - "but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood. Act 15:21 NKJV - "For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath." Mat 22:36 NKJV - "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" Mat 22:37 NKJV - Jesus said to him, "'You shall love (Agape) the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' Mat 22:38 NKJV - "This is the first and great commandment. Mat 22:39 NKJV - "And the second is like it: 'You shall love (Agape) your neighbor as yourself.' Mat 22:40 NKJV - "On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." John 13:34 NKJV - "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. Rom 3:30 NKJV - since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. Rom 4:9 NKJV - Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. Rom 4:10 NKJV - How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised. 1Co 7:18 NKJV - Was anyone called while circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? Let him not be circumcised.
