One of the best unexplored features in Breakpoint is how night vision goggles are not super-powerful in real life. Not at all. In many cases, excessive and localized light sources render them almost useless. On this video, I'm using a special NVG mod made entirely on Reshade. This means that it performs very similarly to real life NVGs, amplifying the existing light sources and trying to gate away the excesses. Attention to the word: "trying". Typically, that's not how a videogame portrays the NV effect. It is, by all means, a new shader for the entire world, made from scratch so, although it's brighter and has that greenish tint, it won't be physically accurate. It won't account for shadows, for light sources, for real world shading... A well balanced Reshade effect is much more authentic. Check it out. In here, a low-visibility night operation turns fast into a full-blown fight. Early contact forces a full-scale firefight before the VIP extraction can even begin. Nomad is tasked with infiltrating a Bodark-controlled mining facility holding four high-value assets working rotating shifts. The objective was simple: clear the site quietly and extract the hostages without raising suspicion. Reality had other plans. Poor visibility compromises the approach, triggering early detection and an aggressive response from the entire camp. What follows is a tense, methodical fight through darkness, limited sightlines, and constant pressure — before the VIPs can even be reached. This operation focuses on: Realistic night combat under low visibility Tactical decision-making after stealth failure No HUD, first-person immersion Full-area clearance before hostage extraction It’s not about perfect stealth.
