We Finally Saw a Highland Cow… in Glasgow

Glasgow wasn’t where we expected to see our first Highland cow… but it was! In our Scotland finale we complete the bingo card, try Tennent’s for the first time and visit Loch Lomond... 👀 We start our final Scotland episode in the Glasgow Botanic Gardens, and if the rest of Scotland’s gardens were anything to go by, we knew we were in for a treat… and it did not disappoint. This might be one of our favourites, we know... we say that every time, but this time we mean it! An immersive glasshouse, Kibble Palace, and a HUGE palm house (Josie’s favourite 🌴) Next up, we head to “The Hidden Lane” … Josie knew a spot! It wasn’t quite what we expected, but still a very cute, artsy street. Our final stop in the city, the Tennent’s Brewery. We’d never tried the beer before and didn’t know what to expect… and we had mixed emotions. Four beers to taste, and we liked 3/4 😅🍺 We start our last day at Loch Lomond, Scotland’s largest loch... and yes, it’s HUGE 😮 We found Australian wallabies, a frozen beach, and a whole lot of locks at the loch… (sorry!) 😂 Finally, we head to Pollok Country Park to find some Highland cows… and we found them! This might have been one of our favourite moments in Scotland. The Highland “coo” is iconic here, and seeing them in person was the perfect way to end our trip 🐮🥰 And just like that… the Scotland series has come to an end. We really didn’t expect Scotland to be what it was. Initially it was just a way to fill the gap between Australia and Canada… but it became one of our favourite destinations ever. We will definitely be back, especially to explore more of the Highlands! 😍 If you’re new around here, welcome... and thank you for being here.
