The Ashariyyah Are Murjiah in Matters of Iman and Kufr | Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan

📖 In this clip, Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan (may Allah preserve him) explains the falsehood of the Ashariyyah in their definition of īmān. They claim that īmān is nothing more than affirmation in the heart, even if the tongue does not profess it or the limbs do not act upon it. This dangerous definition places them to the ranks of the extreme Murjiah. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🕌 The Shaykh brings forward clear evidences from the Qur’an showing that the disbelievers at the time of the Prophet ﷺ recognized him. They affirmed in their hearts that he is the Messenger of Allah, and knew that the Qur’an is the Speech of Allah and that what he came with is the truth. Yet arrogance, love of leadership, and envy prevented them from believing. 📜 The Jews also recognized the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Allah said: “Those to whom We gave the Scripture know him as they know their own sons” [al-Baqarah 2:146]. They knew him but refused to follow him out of envy and hatred that prophethood be in the descendants of Ismail rather than Israel. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⚖️ All of this is a decisive refutation against al-Ashariyyah.
