ConcreteX interview with Jakosta, Poland: Inside the Structural Decisions That Make Gigafactories Future-Ready Jakosta P.S.A. is one of Poland’s leading industrial and structural engineering firms, known for complex steel structures, industrial facilities, and bridge engineering across Poland and Europe. In our interview, Igor Drużbiak explains what drives their engineering choices on fast-moving projects like NOVO’s gigafactory - and why adaptability now defines the entire design process. Here are the three points that stand out: 1. Gigafactories demand continuous change, even during construction. MEP, process, and equipment design all shift in parallel. Igor is direct: if a structure can’t be modified later, it’s already outdated. 2. Jakosta chose PrīmX® Combideck to combine lower tonnage with real future flexibility. They needed a composite floor system that could handle major future penetrations without restarting structural calculations. With PrīmX® Combideck, even 1×1 m openings can be added later, a major advantage when speed and uptime are everything. 3. PrīmX® SFRSSC concrete improved structural stability and reduced joints. The shrinkage-controlled, self-stressing behaviour allowed Jakosta to minimize expansion joints and support long-term adaptability across the entire slab system. What ties it all together is the collaboration: NOVO, Jakosta, and Primekss working as one team making bold, engineered decisions based on data, not habit. 🔔 Follow our YouTube channel here: https://lnkd.in/dh9xpjzv Interview conducted by: Kaija Ozola #PrīmX #Primekss #ConcreteTechnology #NOVOEnergy #Gigafactory #BatteryManufacturing
