The Real "Secret" To Losing Fat Goes Way Beyond The Gym. Free Diet Plan: http://leehayward.com/diet Total Fitness Bodybuilding App: http://leehayward.com/app Join The Total Fitness Bodybuilding "Inner Circle" Coaching Club at: http://www.totalfitnessbodybuilding.com Today's Ask Lee Q & A is about exercise and fat loss. I recently received a long e-mail from Mike, who contacted my through the Total Fitness Bodybuilding App. Mike is trying to lose weight and he has been working out consistently... But unfortunately he's not getting the results he hoped for. Mike's routine includes weight training and daily cardio on the elliptical machine. According to the calorie counter on the elliptical Mike should be burning 1000 calories per hour. But unfortunately a lot of cardio machines over estimate the actual number of calories burned - sometimes by as much as 50%. Just check out the article below for more information about cardio machine calorie calculators: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/h... Now I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with using the elliptical or any cardio machine for that matter, but don't take the calories burned too seriously. Realize that it's probably over estimating the numbers. This brings me to the next point - a lot of times when people workout they feel they have earned the right to eat whatever they want. But if your goal is losing bodyfat this is not the case. You can't out train a bad diet. While you may have burned 500+ calories during your workout, you can easily put that back and a heck of a lot more with just a few slices of pizza. The secret to successful fat loss comes from following a consistent workout AND diet program - not just one or the other. If you would like help in designing a workout and diet plan that fits your body type, fitness goals, and lifestyle - than I encourage you to Join The Total Fitness Bodybuilding "Inner Circle" Coaching Club at: http://www.totalfitnessbodybuilding.com
