What if clothing could move us? Not only in the way we walk, sit, or occupy space, but in how we perceive and feel? In this episode of Moden, we explore the hidden vitality of fashion, from Anrealage’s pulsating tulle clothes to Hussein Chalayan’s floating dress and Iris van Herpen’s kinetic creations. These designers make tangible the subtle, often imperceptible forces inherent in every garment, showing how clothing can shape our bodies, guide our movements, and influence affective experience. Through the lens of affect theory and understanding fashion as a form of contemporary art, we see that garments are not merely expressions of style or identity: they are agentic and affective. Clothing interacts with bodies, space, and spectators, producing sensations, emotions, and new perceptual possibilities. This perspective highlights how fashion functions as more than a visual or symbolic medium: it is a living, moving force that participates in shaping human experience. REFERENCES Spinoza, B.
