It produces 639PS and 825Nm, hits 0–100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, can reach 285 km/h with the Audi Sport package, and introduces a world-first electro-mechanical rear axle capable of shifting 2,000Nm side-to-side in just 15 milliseconds. It’s incredible looking too: 9cm wider each side vs the standard car. On the rear too, with more centrally positioned exhausts, and almost nothing shared on the body. It’s way more RS6 than the predecessor! And that’s the same on both saloon and avant! But it also weighs 2,355kg. That’s roughly 500 to 600kg more than the previous RS4 Competition. A current BMW M3 Touring LCI produces 530hp and weighs around 1,865kg, so the weight discussion is unavoidable.
