EUOLOGY OF SELINA NYAMBURA MBACHU SELINA NYAMBURA MBACHU SUNRISE :1936 SUNSET:9/1/2025 BIRTH The late Selina Nyambura Mbachu was born in Ngarariga Village, Limuru. As the lastborn of the late Daniel Njoroge and Salome Njeri. in the year 1936. She was sister to the late Mbugua, Ndua, Njau, Wanjiku, Wanjiru, Nyakio, and Wangui. CHILDHOOD The late Selina Nyambura Mbachu was an obedient child who assisted her parents with the domestic chores typically performed by young girls of those days. EDUCATION The late Selina attended school at Kamirithu Social Hall (now Kamirithu Polytechnic). In 1979, she enrolled in Adult Education (Ngumbaru) and successfully completed her studies. FAITH AND CHURCH The late Selina was raised in the Islamic faith. However, in 1982, she converted to the Catholic Faith and was baptized. Later, in 1984, she received the Sacrament of Confirmation. She was a dedicated member of the Catholic Women Association (C.W.A) and the St. Anne & Joachim group. She served the church under the St. Peter Small Christian Community (Mwaki) in Kwambira. MARRIAGE AND FAMILY The late Selina Nyambura Mbachu met her beloved husband, Mbachu Njogu, and they were married under traditional customs in 1952. They were blessed with six children namely: Peter Njogu, Cecilia Wanjiru, Francis Kamanga, Joseph Kuria, and the late James Njoroge and Stephen Kimani. OCCUPATION The late Selina lived her life as a businesswoman and a farmer throughout her years. ILLNESS AND DEMISE The late Selina began to experience health challenges in June 2025. She received treatment at various hospitals, including A.I.C Kijabe, P.C.E.A Kikuyu, and North Kinangop Catholic Hospitals. On 24/12/2025, she was admitted to North Kinangop Catholic Hospital where she succumbed to her illness on 09/01/2026. She Passed on at the age of 90 Yrs. She is survived by four children, and many grand and great-grandchildren. “The Lord gave us Selina, and the Lord has taken her back.” May She Rest in Peace.
