Summary: A video about my first outing on the second week of the Oahu v Maui Shootout. All these years fishing and FINALLY got the TRIFECTA of yellow fin tuna, mahimahi, and wahoo. So close with so many multi fish days and 2 out of 3 species and it feels to good to finally get over that hump!!! The standings in the shootout are tight and we are focused in as the month and competition draw to a close. Damashi: Homemade using line between 12-16lb, typically J-Flouro Samurai. I typically tie my own flies. When using lures, I like Tylah lures or CHL Nox Minnows, both I set up with gold hooks and a red bead which I find to be very effective and highly recommend them.
