Jack Draper’s Wimbledon Fate Sealed? Ex-Pro Warns of Major Trouble Ahead! Jack Draper is set to be in the spotlight at Wimbledon this summer following his recent triumph at Indian Wells. After securing the biggest title of his career and breaking into the world's top 10, Draper is expected to lead British hopes during the grass-court season. Excitement is already building for his return to home turf, but former world No. 9 Andrea Petkovic has cautioned that success at his home Grand Slam may not come easily. The 23-year-old has yet to progress beyond the second round at Wimbledon, and Petkovic believes the tournament may not be his strongest. Last month, Draper claimed his third career title—and his first at the Masters 1000 level—by conquering a tough draw that included wins over Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Carlos Alcaraz, and Holger Rune. However, he was unable to carry that momentum into the Miami Open, suffering a first-round exit to Jakub Mensik in two tight tiebreak sets. While the early defeat could have been a concern, Mensik went on to shock the tennis world by winning the title, including an upset over Novak Djokovic in the final. Despite this, Petkovic sees Draper’s Miami loss as a sign that he may face challenges at Wimbledon. The Brit has already demonstrated his ability on grass, having won the Stuttgart title and stunned Alcaraz at Queen’s last year. In contrast, he has less experience on clay. But according to Petkovic, Draper could have more potential on slower surfaces. “I’m not sure how well he moves on clay, but if he figures that out, he could do well,” she said on the Rennae Stubbs tennis podcast. #AthleticPulse #GolfBuzzDaily #HighlightReelInsights #GameBreakdown #TennisTrendWatc #morganriddlereacts #sportxcelerate
