Cape Coast, the spirit home of our Nationality given it was the first capital and it is still an ancestral and spirit home for all Ghanaians. It stands as one of the country's most historic cities. The language of the indigenous people of Cape Coast is Fante. The older traditional names of the city are Oguaa and Kotokuraba (meaning "River of Crabs" or "Village of Crabs'') . I have come to love Cape coast for so many reasons but especially for its peace and serene environment. In my journey as a student at the University of Cape Coast, I first was exposed to the language, fante. Which at that time, sounded funny to me but eventually I learnt it. I fell in love with the culture, the sea, the serene atmosphere which was therapeutic after a long week in school. In my final days as a student, the idea to film Cape coast came to mind. capturing various lifestyles, tourist sites, people and culture was the goal. Cape Coast is one of Africa's most culturally significant spots.
