Air filter comparison for Megane RS275 on factory 3110 ecu.

We have a Megane RS275 vehicle in for a motec upgrade, the car arrived with a Ktec filter that the owner wanted swapped back to the factory style housing and air intake tube. We had been wanting to do a filter comparison so we thought this was the perfect opportunity. We had a brand new paper filter, a brand new BMC filter, a brand new Green filter and a used but recently cleaned and oiled K&N filter ( cleaned and reoiled 2000 klm ago. We ran the Ktec first then fitted the factory airbox and intake tube then ran the other filters one after the other, each filter had a minimum of 4 runs, all runs were back to back stopping only to reset the dyno for the next run, the engine was not turned off between runs for all filters that fitted the factory air filter box with the exception of the green filter where the first 2 runs we very low so we turned the vehicle off and reset the ecu and performed the test again. Watch the video for a comparison of the construction of all filter and for the dyno results. WE used the factory ecu just to eliminate the peception that we had changed the tune between runs. Intake temps were between 49 and 52 degrees at the start of all runs.
