She left everything she cares about locked inside. IG @west_Eldredge Bio: West Eldredge – Director & Filmmaker West Eldredge is a Virginia-based filmmaker and storyteller whose work explores grief, morality, and the quiet struggles of ordinary people. A graduate of Brooks Institute, West began his career in Los Angeles working on major television productions before turning his focus to commercial and independent filmmaking. His 2020 short film Picking Back Up was accepted into several festivals, a grounded drama-comedy about recovery, and the search for meaning after loss. The film established West’s signature style—naturalistic performances, intimate cinematography, and a deep empathy for flawed characters. In 2023, West directed his first feature film, Take from Me, a supernatural horror-thriller produced on a micro-budget and shot entirely in rural Virginia with a local cast and crew. The film has gone on to win Best Picture at the Red Rose Film Festival, earn an Audience Award at the Alexandria Film Festival, and screen internationally at the Romford Horror Film Festival, where lead actor Ethan McDowell (The Walking Dead) won Best Actor. Distributed by BayView Entertainment, Take from Me was released on digital platforms in August 2024 and on Blu-ray October 2024. Through his production banner, Tidewater Productions, West continues to develop films rooted in character and community, often inspired by his experiences in Arizona, Virginia, and the greater D.C. area. In addition to his film work, he serves as a commercial director and editor at a creative firm in Maryland, where he produces campaigns and branded content for mission-driven organizations.
