STOP TRYING TO HEAL — BE STILL & Let GRACE Reveal Wholeness | Joel S. Goldsmith Before we talk about healing… before we talk about prayer, methods, or spiritual “practice”… this message begins with something the human mind resists most: stillness. Not stillness as a technique. Not stillness as discipline. But stillness because—right now—there is no emergency in God. No haste in Spirit. No problem pressing upon the Infinite. The teaching opens with a question that silently governs nearly every attempt at healing: Is God here now… or must something happen first? Most of our striving—physical, emotional, even spiritual—comes from the hidden assumption that harmony is absent and must be brought into being. We “try” to heal. We “try” to pray. We “try” to realize truth. But Jesus didn’t say the Kingdom comes after you improve, after you’re healed, or after you become worthy. He said the Kingdom of God is within you—present tense, immediate, without condition. That shifts everything. If God is unchanging—“I AM”—then wholeness doesn’t “arrive.” It is revealed. Peace isn’t manufactured. It is uncovered. Healing isn’t an event we force into existence. It is recognized when false premises dissolve. This talk shows why spiritual effort can become a trap: it often tries to bring God into a situation where we secretly believe God is absent. And that belief keeps us busy forever—watching, measuring, repeating truths as formulas, and anxiously checking appearances for proof. Yet the Christ message is always the same: rest. You’ll hear why Jesus could speak “Peace, be still” without struggle—because power was never in words, but in consciousness. Why the real source of fear is never the storm, the symptom, or the lack—but the belief that God isn’t present in it. And why the turning point is this: either healing depends on what we do, or it depends on what God is—both cannot be true. In the spirit of The Infinite Way and Joel S. Goldsmith, this is an invitation to stop “using truth” to get outcomes… and begin letting truth dissolve into awareness, where God alone speaks. When effort falls away, grace doesn’t “start working”—it’s revealed as what has always been working beneath the noise of personal management. If you are tired of trying, this message is your doorway: not to better techniques, but to the quiet recognition—God is here, now… and because God is, nothing needs to be made.
