Thought I'd put this out today as well since The Throne of Dismembered Kings treads a story I've already somewhat told in An Oath to Drowning Sarcophagus Divine. This song focusses on Isis finding the body of Osiris and reweaving his dismembered body and reanimating his corpse. Lyrics: Lo! The Nile weeps black beneath the moon, Osiris cleaved by fratricidal rune. Seth, crowned in ruin, rends the dawn — The world unmade where gods are drawn. His limbs are scattered like truths denied, The sun recoils, creation cries. A throne of dust, a kingdom torn, The death of god, the grave of morn. Isis walks where heaven fails, Her tears ignite the serpent trails. Each drop, a vow — each wound, a star, She gathers what the storms unbar. “O husband, king of the buried flame, From silence I summon thy holy name. From limb and dust, from blood and scar, Return — rebuke what gods once are.” She weaves his flesh with grief’s own thread, Binds breath to bone, recalls the dead. Through sorrow’s art, the corpse ascends, In ruin reborn — the god transcends. Rise, O Osiris, lord of the drowned sun, Thy shadow cast on everyone! Thy veins the river, thy bones the seed, Thy crown restored in mortal need. Through thy decay the cosmos turns, Through death’s design, divinity burns. Each scar a scripture, each tear divine, In darkness forged — thy endless shrine.
