A song about the rise of Horus in power and his conflict with Seth and the eventual return of Osiris' true heir to the throne as Horus sits as the king of the gods. There are a lot of stories around this conflict. Some involving contests and some very weird disturbing stuff as well. I went with the whole battle between these two gods, good against evil, kind of vibe and version of events to avoid talking about all of the weirdness that comes from this part of the myth. Lyrics: Now dawn bleeds upon the sand, The child grown — sword in hand. Horus walks the scorched divide, Where Seth’s corruption dares to hide. “O uncle, serpent, kin of deceit! Your reign of ash shall know defeat. Through father’s wound I come, reborn — To scour the night, to crown the morn.” Seth howls — the storm unchained! His rage a flood, his kingdom stained. Yet Horus cleaves through dusk and doubt, His eyes twin suns that burn sin out. Falcon talons rend the lie, Solar fire consumes the sky. Through torn flesh and thunder’s moan, A new god stands upon the throne. O Osiris, behold thy son! Through him the injustice is undone. Seth lies broken — crown of flies, The void retreats, the sun shall rise. “I am the cry that ends the tomb, The pulse that banishes the gloom. Through blood, through flame, through death begun — I wear the crown — the falcon sun!” From death to womb, from womb to war, The gods repeat what came before. The Nile runs red, yet life ascends, For death devours — and then it mends. O triune myth, O endless law, From ruin springs the awe of awe.
