Indo-German Forum 2025: Research, Innovation and Transfer On 20 March 2025, we brought together policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and researchers from India and Germany to explore new avenues for bilateral cooperation at Indo-German Forum 2025. The forum was organised in two parts, leadership roundtables and a networking evening which also celebrated 100 years of DAAD in the presence of its cooperation partners. Highlights: A) Leadership Roundtables: 60+ institutional leaders, policymakers, and experts from both India and Germany engaged in structured, open, and outcome-driven discussions on six key topics relevant for Indo-German research cooperation. 1. Systems: Strengths and challenges of research systems 2. Move: Cross-border research careers 3. Education: Sustainable structured exchange programmes 4. Collaborate: Equitable research partnerships 5. Horizon: The role of social sciences and humanities 6. Innovation: Pathways for technology transfer B) Dialogues and Networking Evening The event included a high-level panel on a joint vision for Indo-German research cooperation followed by a networking reception. The evening saw strong participation from the Indo-German academic and research community, with approximately 120 representatives from German universities and research institutions in attendance, a sign of the growing interest in collaboration with India and the strength of the DWIH-DAAD network. Over 220 guests joined the event, to celebrate Indo-German partnership and 100 years of the DAAD as well as 65 years of the DAAD Regional Office in New Delhi.
