Picked Up Our 2nd Border Collie Puppy (8 Weeks)

Our second border collie puppy is finally here. After two months of waiting and planning during limited off-work hours, we can now proudly call ourselves a multi-dog family. It will be a new experience for us to introduce the puppy to our adult dog Ellie, which itself is a big unknown. Surprisingly, on her way back to Toronto, Fia did not show any car sickness. Among our brief interactions, Fia already demonstrated quite different personalities and motivation from Ellie’s, so it will be very interesting to see how the puppy training will go. Learning from our experience with Ellie, we will actually take our time with Fia’s training. In reality, we have a 10-month old baby to take care of on top of our full time jobs. We no longer have as much time to train Fia as we did for Ellie. This is a road not taken and we will see how it plays out. Border collies are our favourite breed of dog. We know they are intelligent and sometimes demanding.
