Speech Context - is a situation that brings people into conversation or speaking event. The following are the types of speech context. 1) Intrapersonal - it centers to one person who acts both as sender and receiver. Examples: ☑ Talking to self in a mirror. ☑ Writing your diary. 2) Intrapersonal - it happens between and among people who established a relationship between and among them. It has two types: a) Dyad - it happens between two persons. Examples: ☑ A teacher talking to parent during home visitation ☑ A student and a teacher in a counseling room. b) small group - it happens among 3 up to 12 persons. Examples: ☑ A leader distributing the works of the members for a presentation. ☑ A group of English teachers preparing for the National Reading Month. 3) Public Communication - it occurs when the speaker is presenting in front of the crowd or his audiences to inform or persuade them. Examples: ☑ The president delivering his address. ☑ A teacher giving instructions to the class. 4) Mass Communication - it happens through other media or channels like internet, newspapers, magazines, television, radios, billboards and so on. Examples: ☑ A journalist reporting an incident on a television broadcast. ☑ Campus leaders reading newspapers for updates.
