A 1975 color compilation (B&W to color made with Pixbim Video Colorize AI v2.0) of the song “Spring” (it means Primavara in Romanian) performed by our progressive/alternative folk group Helicoidal, on stage at “Spring of Ballads” (in Romanian Primavara Baladelor) in Bucharest where we earned two awards, and the TV video clip filmed in the forests of Bazoș, near the city of Timișoara in Romania, our hometown (the city where in December 1989 the revolution began and spread throughout the country, bringing liberation from communism). During the communist period, our city in western Romania had the greatest influence from the free world, from Western culture. At that time, I think, our band was the first folk band with accents of the alternative/progressive genre not only in Europe, but even in the world. The sounds of the Moog Synthesizer being replaced by the astral sound effects of the cello, flute and violin.
