127. Norfolk Railways Trip - A good look around the Mid-Norfolk Railway

At the start of the year (2024), Steve Bateman, John Harman & myself got together at Steve’s farmhouse in deepest Buckinghamshire to plan a year of expanding our railway visit horizons. We wanted to visit a few interesting heritage railways, other than our usual couple of visits each year to the Blubell Railway in Sussex. One of the venues / area that matched our combined calendar availability (but sadly not Steve) was a few days at the start of July to visit Mid & North Norfolk heritage railways. John knew the various heritage railways reasonably well. One we visited over our three days away was the Mid-Norfolk Railway, the old Wymondham to Wells branch line, along its whole current useable length, I think & a bit further still, to where we saw the tracks stop at County Schools Station. It’s a shame the restored Hardingham Station is not open for public access. We drove down the drive to it, but it looked too private for our liking, so turned tail & fled.
