The Catalyst Conversations | Final Session | Dr Karisha Kimone George In this final webinar of The Catalyst Conversations, Dr Karisha Kimone George (Lecturer, Director, EDI Research Centre, University of York) explores how authenticity operates within higher education as both empowerment and resistance. The session examines how power, stereotypes, and historical narratives shape the lived experiences of minoritised individuals in academic spaces. It also considers how external expectations intersect with internalised pressures when navigating visibility, belonging, and professional identity. Drawing on EDI research and practice, this session will offer pathways for challenging structural barriers and fostering more inclusive environments within higher education. This webinar forms part of Catalysing Change in Chemical Sciences, an RSC-funded collaborative EDI research project led by Dr Zeljka Krpetic (University of Salford) in partnership with the University of York and the University of Kent. 🔗 Register here: https://forms.office.com/e/gTkdy9cw2R...
