The session examines how power, stereotypes, and historical narratives shape the lived experiences of minoritised individuals in academic spaces. It also considers how external expectations intersect with internalised pressures when navigating visibility, belonging, and professional identity. Drawing on EDI research and practice, this session will offer pathways for challenging structural barriers and fostering more inclusive environments within higher education.
