Today we begin the novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe, recalling December 9, 1531, when the Mother of God appeared to Saint Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill. She came with tenderness, speaking to him in his native Nahuatl, and entrusted her message to a humble indigenous man—showing that God lifts up the lowly and draws near to the poor, the overlooked, and the burdened. On this first day, we ask for the grace of humility, openness, and the ability to hear God’s call in simplicity. 🌹 Day 1 Prayer O Lady of Guadalupe, mystical rose, make intercession for the Holy Church, protect our Holy Father, help all those who invoke you in their needs.
