After last week’s 23 hours of medical appointments 😵💫, my body needed something very different — a full day of rest. In this video, I share what a slow, nervous-system-friendly day looks like for me while living with chronic illness. Nothing here is rushed. Nothing is optimized. It’s about creating ease, reducing stimulation, and giving my body a calm launching point for the day. 🧘♀️ You’ll spend the day with me as I: Move slowly through a peaceful morning 🌄 Take a long Epsom salt bath 🛁 Do my skincare routine and hair oils 🧴 Make breakfast using a previously prepped and frozen frittata 🍳 Spend a few grounding minutes outside 🌳 Set up a cozy, low-stim environment 💫 Rest on the couch for several hours 🛋️ Make oatmeal and cook dinner while sitting on the floor to conserve energy 🥣 I also talk about why having a personal flare care kit is so important — and how, for me, that includes: A tidy, organized space to minimize sensory input Setting up evening me during the morning when I have more energy (mise en place) Creating systems that ease the mind, which can take real pressure off the body If you live with chronic illness, dynamic disability, or nervous system sensitivity, I hope this video feels like permission to slow down — and a reminder that rest is not something you earn. It’s something your body deserves. Thank you for being here! ♥️✨ Links 🔗: Lounge set (I own every color!!!): https://amzn.to/3Nap0pn Compression bodysuit: https://amzn.to/4j5d7Nr
