Toe Candy Ben Josie The original question this project aimed to answer was "How can a band most dynamically play drums without a drummer?" It has expanded into a general midi controller for your feet. Equipped with 4 force sensors and 2 sliders, each of these sensors can be mapped to any parameter in Ableton Live to control any effect, instrument or sound to add dynamics and other effects with your feet while playing guitar, keys or any other audio instrument. Music 250A: Physical Interction Design for Music is a lab and project-based course that explores how we can physically interact with real-time electronic sound. Students learn to use and design sensors, circuits, embedded computers, communication protocols and sound synthesis. Advanced topics include real-time media, haptics, sound synthesis using physical model analogs, and human-computer interaction theory and practice. Course culminates in musical performance with or exhibition of completed design projects. http://ccrma.stanford.edu/courses/250a
