Oṁ Namo Bhagavate Vāsudevāya | 108 Upaya 🕉️ The Text of the Mantra 🔱 Sanskrit (देवनागरी): ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय 🌍 IAST (with capitalized words): Oṁ Namo Bhagavate Vāsudevāya The twelve-syllable mantra stands as the crown of the set – an offering to Bhagavān, Vāsudeva, the indwelling presence within all hearts. Its sound carries the essence of divine surrender and luminous protection. In the Bhāgavata Purāṇa (1.8.21 and 1.9.17), this mantra is described as the śuddha-mantra, the pure invocation that transcends all sectarian boundaries, for Vāsudeva represents the supreme consciousness that pervades everything. It is said that sages, kings, and seekers alike have uttered these twelve syllables at the threshold between worldly duty and spiritual freedom. Astrologically, its twelve syllables are linked with the dvādaśa bhāva – the twelfth house, the realm of solitude, hidden karmas, losses, and ultimate liberation (mokṣa). Thus, this mantra dissolves attachments and karmic residues that bind the soul to the wheel of fate, offering both protection and transcendence. In the Nārāyaṇa Kavaca, it acts as the culminating invocation — not merely a shield or armor, but a radiant kavaca of light, wrapping the devotee in divine awareness. Where the six-syllable and eight-syllable mantras protect from outer harm, this one turns inward, awakening the eternal Vāsudeva within. It is said that even a single recitation can sanctify the heart, for each syllable is like a step across the bridge between the mortal and the infinite. ✨ Dear Listeners, I would like to sincerely thank you for your support and interest in my music. My goal is to create pieces that combine traditional Vedic mantras with modern musical arrangements, spanning various styles and genres. I believe that this way, I can contribute to popularizing these beautiful and profound texts among a broader audience while honoring their spiritual significance. I understand that for many of you, Vedic mantras hold special spiritual and cultural importance. I approach these traditions with the utmost respect and humility, striving to preserve their integrity and depth. My arrangements aim to inspire and connect people through music, not to diminish the value of the traditional forms of these sacred texts. If any of my pieces have, in any way, offended your feelings or beliefs, I would like to apologize and assure you that it was not my intention. I care about creating music that serves as a bridge between cultures and generations, bringing joy, peace, and spiritual upliftment. Thank you for your understanding and support. Your opinions and feelings are extremely important to me, so I am open to any suggestions and feedback that may help me improve my work. With respect, Rellima.
