A: Yes, it's a 15-minute beach walk north from Brasilito to Conchal's white shell beach. The Westin Reserva Conchal sits just behind the beach. Public can access Conchal beach but the Westin resort is guests only. Easy walk but hot midday - go early or late. Q: What's the difference between Brasilito and Playa Flamingo? A: Brasilito is a local working town with budget hotels and sodas (local restaurants). Flamingo, 5 minutes drive north, has luxury resorts, upscale restaurants, and a marina. Brasilito's got darker sand and local vibe, while Flamingo's known for white sand and high-end tourism. Q: Where's the best scuba diving near Brasilito? A: Catalina Islands are the prime dive spot, about 20 minutes by boat from Flamingo Marina. You'll see rays, white-tip reef sharks, and sometimes manta rays. Several dive shops in Flamingo and Brasilito run daily trips, best conditions December through April. Q: What are good places to eat in Brasilito? A: Local sodas around the plaza serve typical Costa Rican food ($5-10). For upscale, head to the Westin Reserva Conchal restaurants or Flamingo's dining scene.
