This run took a couple of hours to find, since I was dead set on completing every run started. Initially, I really wanted to see what the Former Human can evolve into, once I got a hint from CobraVenom at Discord. The 'Surprise's stats, abilities and attacks were all unknown to me, though. Once again, I did the Imitator & Ascension move combo, but this time I fine tuned it. The Tadwhale acted as the original owner of the Ascension move (left at 1 use remaining). Mimilang provided an early access to a move like copying ability - Imitator. This ability works best when it is extracted and injected into other monsters. By doing so, they can keep evolving, but without losing the Imitator power, unlike with Mimilang. Base abilities, moves and the Ascension move are removed from the evolved creature. Once you are happy with your current evolution, you can extract the Imitator again and put it on the next monster or even on the Former Human. If a monster evolves, while there are no valid forms left, it turns into the Abomination instead. If the Abomination evolves, it becomes the Eye of the Abyss. I evolved Lumi all the way to the Eye of the Abyss, to remove the Golden Beetle battle reward from the pool. I was hunting for the Former Human reward instead. To be honest, I was expecting a better return when my Former Human evolved into the 'Surprise'. The new ability and a move were nice, but the setup for it seemed a bit too niche. Perhaps the full version will have separate evolve rewards or something? All the basic syringe rewards and one 'copy monster' reward allowed me to get... 5 Eyes of the Abyss! Would this still be doable when the game releases tomorrow? Probably not. I tried to overheal the Sky Whale outside combat, to boost its health above limit. A bug prevented this from working as intended. By tomorrow, this bug might already be fixed. Fingers crossed. During the 3rd turn of boss fight, I picked a wrong move. I was supposed to use the Calamity again, instead of the Annihilation :P I probably should have also used the remaining filled syringe too. It contained a power that could have given my monster another 2 points worth of armor, as long the opposing enemy had a decreased initiative. I totally forgot I got the Mudball item, which wouldve lowered the initiative of one enemy by 3. Granted, enemy Abominations could have cleansed it anyway, but it is something to consider in other runs. At the end of the video, I was trying to find a bestiary entry for the 'Surprise', but it was still obscured. Oh well...
