Hey guys! How are you? This week's adventure is actually divided in 2 because this is such a special place I didn't want to leave anything behind. So, this is part I. I present to you HATLEY CASTLE. Its construction was completed in 1908 and at first it was a dormitory for cadets and staff officers at Royal Roads Military College. Now it's the administrative centre of Royal Roads University in Colwood. If you want to know more about its history I suggest you check out this website: http://hatleycastle.com. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic some parts of the gardens and all campus buildings, including the castle, were closed to the public because of social distancing restrictions. Nonetheless, it's still very much worth the visit! Now, MOVIES AND TV! If you're thinking that the video's title is just another clickbait you are very wrong! This place has been used as a film location for over 80 years! Hatley Castle and the Gardens have been showcased in productions such as Smallville, Deadpool, Poltergeist, MacGyver, The Killing, Big Time Movie, The Professor, Arrow and, of course, X-MEN. It has actually been featured in two series of X-MEN related media as Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Pretty cool, eh?!
