Bologna-Raticosa 2020 Historic Hillclimb: Osella PA9, BMW M3 E30, Renault R5 Turbo & More!

After almost 2 years I managed to attend a proper hillclimb event here in Italy and it was the 2020 edition of the Bologna-Raticosa, held for the first time in 1950 on a course of around 42 km from Bologna to the Raticosa Pass. The last 'historic' edition was held in 1969 on a course that was 10km shorter than the original one. In 2001 historic cars were able to race again on this course thanks to Scuderia Bologna Squadra Corse but 'only' on a 6.2 kilometer course that winds between the villages of Pianoro Vecchio and Livergnano. The race is valid for the Campionato Italiano di Velocità in Salita per Auto Storiche (Italian Hillclimb Championship for Historic Cars) but during these 'modern' editions the organizers also allow a small group of more recent race cars to attack the hillclimb course but without affecting the historic championship standings.
