Webster police release body camera video of officer's traffic stop that prompted investigation

Webster, N.Y. (WHAM) — An internal investigation within the Webster Police Department is underway after the police chief says a sergeant mishandled a traffic stop earlier this year. On April 1, Webster police were called to Orchard Street for the report of a person passed out in a vehicle. Rochester police also confirmed an April 1 incident involving an off-duty member of the department that is also under investigation. Body-worn camera footage from the responding sergeant was sent to 13WHAM Wednesday by Webster Police Chief Dennis Kohlmeier, showing the first three minutes and six seconds of that traffic stop before the sergeant deactivated the camera.
