Playing along to the song "And We Dance" from the album "Moon and Stars" by the band The Mavericks. The lyrics are below in the comments. This is the third song I've played to by The Mavericks. I love this band: great songs, great musicians, and live they put on a great show. It's a slow song, and I'll probably be playing more slower songs for a while due to pain in my left arm and elbow. I've had pain in my left arm for about a year but figured it was just another pain I need to get used to along with back and hip. Getting old, lol. But the pain got so bad this past month I had to go to the doc. I couldn't hold or lift anything with my left arm. He said I have lateral epicondylitis, otherwise known as tennis-elbow. I don't play tennis, so must have been from all that Fall yard work. While learning this song yesterday, I happened to see on FB that the singer (and main songwriter) Raul Malo was rushed to the hospital. I know he has been battling cancer for over a year. This news makes me sad. Raul Malo is one of my favorite singers for one of my favorite bands. The man has a golden voice. So this is dedicated to Raul, who has given me so much joy with his talent, songs, and live performances. Video recorded Saturday evening, December 6, 2025.
