Dead Space 2008 is considered by many as a survival horror classic. But what made it so good, does it still hold up and should you play it now that the remake exists? Having never played it until now, I was sceptical that it could live up to the hype. After all, this came out pretty early in the 360’s lifespan and these types of games have come a long way since. I was positive that without a handy pair of nostalgia glasses, there was no way this could be as good, or as scary as what everybody says.
