The Crawsfordsburn Country Park deep ravine and large waterfall are found behind and beneath The Old Crawsfordsburn Inn in the village. They can be easily accessed by walking down the pathway at the side of the hotel. Remarkably this section of the Crawfordsburn country park is relatively unknown to outsiders. Few apart from local dog walkers/joggers ever use it. Most park visitors simply ignore the top end of the park and drive through to the beach. They miss so much in doing so. The birdsong is inspiring and all around. From a distance the river water gurgles as it sweeps along coming closer to the waterfall the noise changes to a deafening roar.
