My Easy Sweet Pickled Beetroot Recipe - How to Preserve Sweet Pickled Beetroot in Vinegar My easy homemade pickled beets recipe has a lot less sodium than some of these commercial canned or prepared beets. It is an easy sweet beet recipe to make and even better if you grow your own beets, which is what I do. I find that pickling beetroot over the summer for my family ready to eat over the coming cooler months. My children and I love to use strip sweet pickled beetroot in my salads or as a slide for our meals. Some of the best Benefits of Beetroots are: They contain nutrients like; Vitamin B1, B2, B6, C, P, Niacin, Potassium, Phosphorus, Calcium, Manganese, Sulfur, Iodine, Copper as well as and Carbohydrates, Protein and Fat. They have a high content of antioxidants and have excellent fiber content. Raw beetroot juice is excellent as a liver detox too! Just be aware not to have too much at once, it can give you a real quick detox.
