After three days on the base, Kassandra and I finally left for a little adventure in the nearby village of Sembach. We were trying to take a different route off the base, but after walking around and getting lost, we ended up going out the main gate. Once we were through, we made our way through the countryside to Sembach, where I was excited to show Kassandra the two beautiful churches my mom had recommended. The weather was all over the place – hail one minute, sunny the next – but it was still an awesome experience walking through the village. We also checked out an old abandoned tower that was once part of a military base. It was pretty cool, but it's a shame they didn’t turn it into a museum or something. We had a lot of fun wandering through Sembach, checking out hidden spots, and soaking in the vibes of this quiet little village.
