Good morning, friends and families! Thank you for joining us! We hope you are doing well on this wet and rainy Friday morning. As you may know, we are preparing to mate Myra with Macchiato. In preparation for mating, we bring them together to allow them to flirt and court each other, build a bond, to better assist in the mating process. It also gives us an opportunity to gauge where Myra is at in her heat cycle, based on how far she is willing to let Macchiato go before stopping him. She should be approaching the fertile stage in the next few days. With that said, Missy is also in heat. And in the wild, only the Alpha female mates and has puppies. But Missy is on break, so no puppies for Alpha female this cycle. This has caused a bit of a controversy amongst the ladies in the pack, with Myra being allowed to mate but not Missy. And then we have Robin, who is approaching her heat cycle but not in heat. She has Macchiato under a love spell; he is intensely attracted to her and no female can match Robin in his eyes. Yesterday when she entered the kitchen with Myra and Macchiato, he nearly forgot about Myra! The tension is building! We hope you are able to join us to catch the latest updates! We perform all of their care on the livestream for families to see and be part of, including vaccinations, weight checks, dewormings, socialization, and so more. We raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with an emphasis on their emotional-social development. We have raised many puppies for the distinct purpose for becoming Emotional Support Animals. This breed of dog has a temperament that is ripe for therapeutic bonding. We nurture those characteristics to help bring them out and optimize them further. We potty train our puppies using pine pellets designed for rehydration. Our puppies typically understand where to go potty within about a week of practice, and they use the potty tray on their own.. By about 6-7 weeks old, they begin waking during the night to use the potty tray. Our young puppies are kept in our master bedroom for 24-hour observation and care. We leave the audio on so that viewers are able to hear the puppies' vocalizations, but that means you may overhear some personal interactions. We prefer this format because we are able to easily provide context or clarity to viewers if necessary. We show you how we potty train our puppies beginning around 7 days old, plus how we nurture their development throughout their 8 weeks with us to hand off a well-trained puppy to their family.
