Building A Cyclocross Bike For Under £300 - 1988 Peugeot Concept 18

In this video, I take a 1988/89 Peugeot Concept 18 and convert it for use as a Cyclocross bike, all for around £280. I could have potentially done it for cheaper but with the way it turned out, I'm very happy. It will come with be this year to a few different "sportives". The bike in it's original form is likely to be from 1988/1989 judging by the markings that were on the original components. I believe it was converted to 700c rims (assuming it came with 26") by the previous owner who, quite clearly, used it a lot! Everything was well worn. After stripping and powder coating, I've reassembled the bike and fitted a few new components. The bars and stem have been replaced and the groupset upgraded to a 3 x 8 speed STi Shimano group. A few rides in and I love it. It's still fairly nippy on road and off road, it has handled a very muddy trail with ease. Stay tuned for more.
