The Centre for Comparative Corporate Finance Law (C3FL) of the University of Vienna organized a conference on legal arbitrage in corporate finance, which took place in Vienna from June 16-17. 2025. The C3FL was delighted to welcome numerous renowned and distinguished legal scholars to this conference, all of whom contributed insightful and thought-provoking presentations on the subject. The event aimed to draw attention to the regulatory differentials among mandatory rules, default rules, and altering rules in corporate finance law across its various doctrinal domains — including contract law, property law and security interest law, capital markets law as well as insolvency law and restructuring law. Eilís Ferran, who is Professor of Company and Securities Law at the University of Cambridge, held a presentation titled "Regulating for Growth". We sincerely thank Professor Ferran for her valuable contribution! More information about Professor Eilís Ferran and her research is available at: https://www.law.cam.ac.uk/people/acad...
