Every January, people set goals with the best intentions—and by March, many feel disappointed or discouraged. In this conversation, Chinwe interviews me about self-accountability and why it’s the habit that most people think they have… but haven’t been taught how to practice. In my work with leaders, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit founders—and especially with younger professionals navigating “adulting”—I’ve learned that goals don’t usually fail because we don’t care. They fail because we don’t pause long enough to check in with ourselves along the way. We talk about: Why willpower and hustle aren’t the answer What self-accountability actually looks like (hint: it’s not self-judgment) How small, honest check-ins help you learn what’s working, what isn’t, and why How self-coaching builds clarity, confidence, and follow-through over time Self-accountability isn’t about being harder on yourself. It’s about learning from yourself—so you can make more authentic, intentional choices. This conversation is grounded in my ZST4LVG Self-Coach Framework, which helps people coach themselves “in the moment” and over time—especially when life feels overwhelming or unclear. If you’ve ever set goals and wondered why they didn’t stick, this is a great place to start. #SelfAccountability #Adulting #PersonalGrowth #IntentionalLiving #SelfCoaching #LeadershipDevelopment
