We are back with another recipe from Cooking with Carassauga. Today we feature and dish inspired by Korean culture known as Bulgogi Bibim Bap. We got the recipe below. Give it a try and let us know how your Bulgogi Bibim Bap turns out! Ingredients 3-4 persons • 1 bag of soybean sprouts • 1 bunch of spinach • 1 package of king oyster mushroom • 1 large carrot • 1 large bell pepper • 1 large zucchini • 1 English cucumber • 3 to 4 green onions, chopped • ½ LB Bulgogi meat, thinly sliced (227 grams) • 1 ounce dried bellflower roots (optional) – (29 grams) • 4 eggs • Salt • Vegetable oil • Roasted sesame seeds • Sesame Oil • Garlic • Soy Sauce • Honey (sugar) • Gochujang (Hot Pepper Paste) • Rice Vinegar • Mirin Bibimbap Sauces 1. Traditional Gochujang Sauce • 4 tbsp Gochujang Paste • 2 tbsp Mirin • 2 tbsp rice vinegar • 1.5 tsp soy sauce • 1 crush garlic clove • 2.5 tsp sesame oil • 3 tsp sugar Mix all ingredients in a small bowl, until sugar is melted. 2. Sweet Soy Sauce • 4 tbsp soy sauce • 1 tbsp sugar • 2 tbsp Korean pear juice • 2 tbsp mirin • 2 tbsp water / sea kelp broth Boil above ingredients, turn off the heat when it boils. Marinated Beef • 1.2 LB thinly sliced beef • 2 tbsp soy sauce • 1 tbsp Korean pear juice (optional) • 1 tbsp mirin • ½ tbsp crushed garlic • 1 tbsp sesame oil Put thinly sliced beef in a bowl, mix well with all the ingredients and let it set for at least 30 mins. Bibim Bap Vegetables Soybean Sprout Wash and boil for 20 minutes, add 1 tbsp of salt. Drain out water and season with salt, garlic and sesame oil. Top it with roasted sesame seeds. Spinach Wash and boil just until it wilts, add 1 tbsp of salt. Rinse in cold water, squeeze out excess water. Season with salt, garlic and sesame oil, sprinkle with green onion and sesame seeds. Mushrooms, carrots, bell pepper, zucchini and cucumber – chop in matchstick size and lightly sauteed each vegetable with vegetable oil, season with sesame oil, salt, garlic and green onion. Top it up with sesame seeds. Put all cooked vegetables separately on a large plate. Cook zucchini first then mushroom, carrot, bell pepper and cucumber. Cook beef. Egg should be sunny side up. Assembling Bibimbap In a large earthenware put warm rice at the bottom and put vegetable over the rice, finish it with egg in the middle. Sprinkle sesame oil and seed over the bowl. Top it with your choice of sauce. Mix well and eat it, Bon Appetit!
