Cambodia’s construction sector continues to expand rapidly, according to a new report from the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction. Across the country, a total of 3,254 high-rise buildings, five floors and above, have been recorded. This includes 1,905 buildings with five to nine floors, 851 buildings with ten to nineteen floors, 277 buildings with twenty to twenty-nine floors, 156 buildings with thirty to thirty-nine floors, and 65 buildings with forty floors and above. The report also highlights strong growth in residential and commercial development nationwide. There are now 698 Borey housing projects, 121,088 flat-house units, and 787 collective residential buildings, such as condos and apartments. Additionally, we see 42,913 general residential constructions, 1,166 hotel projects, 3,753 commercial buildings, 11,181 factories, and 416 mixed-use buildings.
