https://thunderstore.io/c/gtfo/p/cryo... A custom made modded GTFO mission. It was fun to think about a way to handle the donut room with three respawning charger scouts in an error alarm. Idiotnet is mostly just foaming them, but during the alarm I tried to go and place two mines down to kill one, as mines are relatively quiet and the room is decently big. As you can see at 1:11:33 that didn't go well lol. When I ran with a gun that could 1-shot charger scouts I just shot it instead, with the room divider that can work too. But the tension to rush and kill the three scouts before any enemies come in and scream is fun. There was a scout which looked different from the normal scouts. Not sure if it had mechanical differences, Idiotnet was able to kill it with a backshot hammer hit. It could just be a visual change. Or maybe we had just forgotten how normal scouts look lol as feedback I'd say: I think there should be a bit more ammo, unless ammo scarcity is specifically a goal of the mission the final main OBJ extract is a little easy relative to the rest of the mission. That's not too bad considering that it's a lengthy and tiring mission ("tiring" in the sense that there's a constant error alarm, so you can never completely relax at your own pace), but maybe some chargers or something would spice it up. the RNG seems broken in some rooms, as the lockers always spawn in the same spots and the resource packs are always in the same locations with the same amounts. It's most noticeable in the first couple zones. after the point we died, we would have had to return to a big apex door and use the key we got to unlock it. Beyond it is an alarm deeper in and then the HSU with an extract alarm (it's small enemies, not a huge amount but they spawn at a high rate) we might return to finish the duo, or might move on to explore other stuff. This is the first modded mission I've done. We're generally looking at vanilla-ish stuff. custom objectives or threats or maps is cool to me, but most rundowns seem to modify weapon balance or add new guns which puts me off. i wish more rundowns would be just the missions, and then have weapon changes/additions be a separate mod that you could install if you wish, but perhaps they have to be paired due to modding limitations, i have no idea. I imagine if the new weapons or balance changes are significant it would make sense to bundle them anyway as you'd probably be balancing the missions around it. thank you to cryodyne or making and sharing this mission!
