DIY Baby Cold Shoulder Flare Sleeve Top and A-Line Flap Skirt | Very Easy Cutting and Stitching "Hello, everyone! Welcome back to our channel. Today, we have an adorable and trendy DIY project for you - a baby cold shoulder flare sleeve top paired with an A-line flap skirt. It's perfect for your little one's wardrobe or as a thoughtful handmade gift. So, grab your sewing kit, and let's get started!" Materials Needed: Soft and comfortable fabric for the top and skirt. Matching thread and sewing machine. Scissors, pins, and measuring tape. Elastic for the skirt waistband. Buttons or snaps for the cold shoulder top. Step-by-Step Instructions: Taking Measurements: Measure your baby's chest, waist, and desired top length for the cold shoulder top. For the A-line flap skirt, measure your baby's waist and desired skirt length. Cutting the Fabric: Using the measurements, cut the top and skirt fabric pieces accordingly, ensuring to leave an allowance for seam allowance. Preparing the Cold Shoulder Top: Fold the top fabric in half with the right sides facing each other. Mark and cut out the cold shoulder design on the folded fabric. Sew the sides of the top, leaving the armholes and shoulder area open. Hem the neckline and bottom of the top. Creating Flare Sleeves: For each sleeve, cut a piece of fabric in a semi-circular shape, longer than the armhole length. Sew the straight edge of the flare sleeve to the armhole, starting from the bottom and going upwards, creating a beautiful flare effect. Adding Cold Shoulder Flaps: Cut two rectangular pieces of fabric for the cold shoulder flaps. Hem the edges of the flaps and attach buttons or snaps to secure them on the cold shoulder area. Making the A-Line Flap Skirt: Fold the skirt fabric in half with the right sides facing each other. Mark and cut an A-line shape, wider at the bottom and narrower at the waist. Sew the sides of the skirt, leaving the waist and bottom open. Hem the bottom of the skirt. Create a flap on the front or back of the skirt by folding the fabric upwards and securing it with a few stitches. Adding an Elastic Waistband: Measure and cut a piece of elastic according to your baby's waist measurement. Sew the ends of the elastic together to form a loop. Attach the elastic to the skirt waist, evenly distributing the gathers. Conclusion: "Congratulations! You've completed making this stylish and cute baby cold shoulder flare sleeve top and A-line flap skirt. Your little one is sure to look adorable in this outfit.
