Drone up, beer in hand, and Rodrigues below! 🍺☀️ Watching the turquoise ocean and palm trees from our Coco Villa balcony — not a bad day in paradise! Sometimes you just have to see paradise from above — and that’s exactly what we did! 😎 Today wasn’t about sightseeing, hikes or long drives. It was about enjoying the view — from our balcony, from the beach, and from the sky! We’re staying in Caverne Provert, a quiet, postcard-perfect corner of Rodrigues Island, and our lovely base — Coco Villa — sits just across the road from the beach. Every morning we wake up to the sound of waves, open the balcony doors, and there it is — the ocean stretching all the way to the horizon. 🌊 So, we sent the drone up to see it all from above — the turquoise lagoon, the small fishing boats drifting near the reef, the coconut palms swaying in the breeze, and our orange little Suzuki S-Presso parked proudly in front like it owns the island. 🚗😂 From the air, Caverne Provert looks absolutely stunning — lush green hills rolling into the blue lagoon, calm waters shimmering in the sun, and the peaceful charm of a place where life moves slowly and beautifully. Back down on the ground, we were enjoying a lazy afternoon by the pool, with a couple of ice-cold Phoenix beers in hand 🍺, the sea just across the road, and the drone buzzing overhead like an excited tourist. Graz, as always, looking effortlessly relaxed, while I was busy pretending to “supervise” the drone with professional seriousness. Rodrigues may be small, but it’s packed with beauty and charm. And from above, it feels like you’re looking at a secret island that the world forgot to overcrowd. 🏝️
