Mountain Camping at Sawyer Pond | Beautiful Views and Loud Neighbors

Ezri and I began a long weekend in the White Mountains by backpacking to Sawyer Pond which has a shelter and tent platforms. It was a great afternoon of swimming, relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. All the platforms come with fire pits which I didn't plan on. The area is pretty well deforested because of this. It means you have to go further away to find downed wood to burn. It also means that sound travels easily through the campsites. Just before dark a large group of young people showed up and made noise until midnight. In addition Ezri and I also both had trouble sleeping in the tent on our various pads. So a rough night that marred an otherwise great camping experience.
