Last Friday, I decided to head over to South Plainfield to see the morning action of the Lehigh Line. I stayed for about 6 and 1/2 hours and saw a ton of action. This was probably the busiest day I’ve had on the Lehigh Line this year so far. I saw a huge 11N with 140 cars! It’s so far the biggest one I’ve ever seen. 62V was huge as well as it had 107 cars! I also saw 6K4 as it apparently took the main instead of the Port Reading Secondary that’s very rare! I think it was my second time ever seeing an NS oil train on the main as I saw a rerouted 65K at Union back in 2020. I also saw M404 with a flare MAC trailing that was nice to see as well.
