Duel Terminal is an arcade game priced at ¥100 per play in Japan, $1 per play in the United States, and $13 per play in Mexico. After the end of each game, a Duel Terminal-compatible card is dispensed through a slot at the bottom of the machine. There are five game modes/play options in Duel Terminal: Action Duel, Speed Duel, Tutorial, Card Only Get, and Event Mode. When playing Duels, players can either use a Deck chosen by the system, or use their own Duel Terminal-compatible TCG/OCG cards scanned into the game by a built-in card scanner. An Action Duel is a Duel on the Duel Terminal machines. This Duel is a normal Duel (unlike the Speed Duel), including the Deck Zone, a Banished Zone, 5 Monster Card Zones and Spell and Trap Card Zones, and a Graveyard. You may scan up to 3 Duel Terminal monster cards, or have the computer choose for you, and then "Duel" against a computer player that will use three monsters from their deck. Both players summon monsters and then play mini games to fill an attack bar consisting of 2 to 3 colors. The better you do in the mini game, the easier it is for you to perform a powerful attack. The difficulty of the mini game and the likelihood of you performing an attack varies with your monster's Level. However, only Level 5 and higher monsters can have the blue in their bar that allows them to perform super powerful attacks. Once the mini game is complete, your score is added to your bar. This bar is filled with a red, yellow, and sometimes blue bar, starting from the center and expanding out. You then determine how strong your attack is. A line will move back and forth across the bar, and pressing A will stop it. If it lands on red, you make a successful attack, yellow, a powerful attack, blue, a super powerful attack, and if you land in the unfilled portions, a miss. This is repeated until you get 5 results, your red, yellow, and sometimes blue bar becoming thinner and the line becoming faster each time. As for the actual "Duel", the results will be compared one at a time, with the monster with the best out of 5 being the victor. This process is repeated until a player wins 2 out of 3. Speed Duels are a new concept introduced in the "Duel Terminal" system. You start with: -3000 Life Points. -3 cards in your hand. -10 cards in your Main Deck. -3 Monster Card Zones. -3 Spell & Trap Card Zones. Certain rule elements omitted (for example, no Damage Step in the Battle Phase). There is no Field Spell Card Zone, nor is there a graphical representation of the Graveyard, Main Deck, Extra Deck or Banished Zone. TCG changes: -You can now select who your opponent is (Hard difficulty only) -You start with 4000 Life Points instead of 3000 -You start with 4 cards in your hand instead of 3 -Cards remaining in your Deck, your Extra Deck, and your Graveyard are represented by icons at the lower left corner with the number of cards present -Two selectable difficulties: Easy and Hard -Coin is now replaced with $ -Optional Destiny Draw feature: Before you draw, you may press A to stop a moving scale, or tap A rapidly to fill a bar to fill you Destiny Draw bar. The greater the difference of Life Points is, the easier it is to fill the bar. Once filled, instead of drawing, you may Scan a card (excluding one you scanned earlier) and add it to your hand instead. This may be a joke referencing the English dub of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s frequent mentions of the "Heart of the Cards", which allows a losing player to always draw what they need. To play This mode you have to: Select "Speed Duel" from menu after inserting coins. Receive dispensed card. Scan up to 3 cards (must be Duel Terminal compatible.) You cannot scan the same card twice. Select a deck. Decks which you can choose will differ depending on what cards you scanned. Furthermore, if you didn't scan 3 cards, random cards will act as a filler. A reel with names of duelists will spin. Touch the screen to stop it. The selected duelist will be your opponent! The Terminal will automatically select an assistant for you. The character will be selected in relation to your opponent, so when your opponent is Jaden, your assistant will be Chazz. (Keep in mind whoever your assistant is will most likely be the same one if you selected multiple Duels, regardless of opponent.) The Duel will start. If you win, the Terminal will tally your actions during the duel to give out a total score. Terminal 6 set includes 100 cards, all of which are Parallel Rare. 60 of the cards are new, while 40 are reprints. Includes further support for "Vylon", "Laval", "Gem-Knight", "Steelswarm", "Gishki" and "Gusto" archetypes. Facebook: / insertcoinarcadeofficial Email: insertcoinarcade@outlook.it
